Closure Of Government Pharmacies

The Ministry of Health has advised the public that all Government pharmacies will close on Wednesday, June 24, at 1:00 p.m., in order to allow officers to attend a general staff meeting.

The pharmacies at the Randal Philips Polyclinic, Oistins, Christ Church; the Maurice Byer Polyclinic, Station Hill, St. Peter; and the Fast Tract Service of the Winston Scott Polyclinic, Jemmotts Lane, St. Michael, will re-open at 5:00 p.m.

The Ministry of Health thanks the public for its cooperation and apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Food Drive On In St. George

The St. George HIV and AIDS Education Committee, in association with the Community Development Department, will conduct a food drive throughout communities in that parish on Saturday, June 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The food collection drive will begin in South District, an then travel to Dash Valley, Constant, The Glebe, Taitt Hill and Newbury. It will continue to Groves, Market Hill, Belair, Roach Village, Applewhaite, Flat Rock and on to Lower Estate.

Members of these communities are asked to donate non-perishable food items and toiletries. All items collected will be donated to the HIV Food Bank.

Registration Open For BADMC???S Southern Farmers??? Market

All persons interested in selling vegetables, fruit, herbs, plants, fruit trees and agro-processed products at the Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation???s (BADMC) Southern Farmers??? Market this month, are asked to register immediately.

For more information, including the registration fee, persons may call Kelly-Ann Gibson at 428-0250, or email kelly.gibson@badmc.org.

In addition, primary schools interested in participating in the Pine Hill Dairy Educational Programme and Tour of the market should call Ms. Gibson to reserve a date. Vendors should register at the BADMC on or before Thursday, June 25.
