Probation Going To The Community

Members of the public are encouraged to join the Probation Department as it continues to host activities and events to celebrate its 70th anniversary.

The next event comes off on Friday, June 19, when the Probation Department hosts Probation in the Community at Independence Square, The City from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

During the day, there will be a range of health checks including cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar testing, and counselling services including anger management, drugs and mentorship.

There will also be a number of information booths highlighting the various probation services. All are invited.

RDC To Stage Training Session

Improving Productivity In Agriculture Through The Competency Based Training Fund will be the focus of a sensitisation and pre-registration meeting for the Rural Development Commission???s (RDC) Loan clients tomorrow Wednesday, June 17, at the RDC???s Office, Bridge Street Mall, Bridgetown, St. Michael.

It starts at 10:00 a.m. and some 25 participants are expected to benefit from the training which will be hosted by the RDC in collaboration with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture.

It will offer participants an opportunity to receive the Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) in areas of Agro-processing, Livestock Rearing, Butchery, Tree Crop Farming and Crop Production.
