Open Day At Archives Department

Fifty Years and Going Strong: Celebrating our Documentary Heritage will be the theme of two open days being hosted by the Archives Department next week.

The department, located in Black Rock, St. Michael, will be open to the public on Wednesday, June 24, and Friday, June 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., each day.

Members of the public are invited to view conservation demonstrations, visit a genealogy group booth, view records display and participate in tours.

Youth Parliament Debate Next Week

Members of the public are invited to watch as some of Barbados??? young people show off their debating skills and knowledge of CARICOM, at a Youth Parliament debate on Friday, June 26.

The debate, which forms part of the 36th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM, being held in Barbados from July 2 – 4, will take place in in the House of Assembly, Parliament Buildings, Bridgetown, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
