Men To Discuss Food Safety

Environmental Health Officer, Richard Bourne, will be the guest speaker at the monthly meeting of the Men???s Health Discussion Group at the Maurice Byer Polyclinic on Monday, June 29.

The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. at the polyclinic, Station Hill, St. Peter, and Mr. Bourne???s topic will be Food Safety. All interested persons are invited to attend.

NCOA Looking For Barbadian Centenarians

The National Committee on Ageing (NCOA) is looking for Barbadians who have celebrated or will mark their 100th birthday this year.

The NCOA is currently preparing a list of Barbadian centenarians, and is asking persons or their care givers to submit their name, date of birth, address and telephone number to the Secretary of NCOA, Ann Allen, at 426-3131, extension 227, as soon as possible.

Tour Of Historic Medical Facilities In Bridgetown

Members of the Diabetes Association of Barbados will host a walk-through and tour of historic medical facilities in Bridgetown this Sunday, June 28.

Interested persons are asked to meet at 4:00 p.m. at the former Tercentenary School of Nursing, Jemmott???s Lane, St. Michael, for the two-hour walk, which will traverse several districts, including Martindale???s Road, Church Village and James Street.

It culminates at the headquarters of the St. John???s Ambulance Brigade on Bay Street. More information may be obtained from the Association by calling 427-9338.
