Free Rodent Bait Available Saturday

Environmental Health officers from the St. Philip Polyclinic will distribute free rodent bait at Emerald City Supermarket, Six Roads, St. Philip on Saturday, July 4.

Officers will be on hand from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. sharing information on rodent control and diseases associated with rodents such as leptospirosis, Hantavirus and rat bite fever.

The event is especially targeted at residents of St. Philip, St. John and St. George.

Revised Dates For Assessments In Holetown

The Department of Emergency Management (DEM), in collaboration with the District Emergency Organisations and the Barbados Red Cross Society (BRCS), will conduct Vulnerability and Capacity Assessments in the Holetown area.

The Vulnerability and Capacity Assessments will be carried out in Porters, Trents, Jamestown Park, Lime Grove, Halcyon Heights, Sunset Crest and Bennetts Road, from Thursday, July 2, to Saturday, July 4; and from Thursday, July 16, until Saturday, July 18.

All assessments will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.??Persons conducting the Vulnerability and Capacity Assessments will be wearing a DEM or BRCS shirt or vest.
