Anti-Doping Commission’s 15th Anniversary

To celebrate its 15th anniversary, the National Anti-Doping Commission of Barbados (NADC) will host a series of activities, beginning with a church service on Sunday, March 8.

The service, which will be attended by past and present members of the Commission, as well as persons affiliated with the NADC, will take place at the Church of Christ the King, Rock Dundo Park, St. Michael, at 8:00 a.m.

Vendors Invited To Operate At National Senior Games

Barbadians interested in vending at this year???s National Senior Games have until Tuesday, April 14, to do so.

Registration takes place at the National Assistance Board (NAB), Country Road, St. Michael, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.??Persons may call the NAB at 426-3131 for further information.

The National Senior Games will be held at the National Stadium on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18.

Lecture On West Indian Women In Panama

Barbadians interested in learning more about the lives of West Indian women in Panama in the early 1900s are invited to a public lecture.

The lecture, which is entitled: The Silver Women: A glimpse into the lives of West Indian women in Panama, 1904 ??? 1914, will be held on Monday, March 9, at the National Library Service???s Main Branch, Fairchild Street, The City, at 7:00 p.m.

It will be presented by Senator Professor Velma Newton, while Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Stephen Lashley, will deliver the opening remarks.??Free parking will be provided at the BTI car park, Lower Bay Street, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
