New Time For Barbados Museum???s Town Hall Meeting

The Barbados Museum and Historical Society???s Town Hall meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, at the Speightstown Community Centre, St. Peter, will now be held at 5:30 p.m. instead of 11:00 a.m.

At the town hall meeting, members of the public are encouraged to submit any memorabilia or artefacts that might relate to the Barbadian experience in Panama.

These objects could include items such as letters and postcards.Persons may also share stories relating to that experience.

The town hall meeting is one in a series being staged to assist in developing an exhibition to commemorate the centenary of the ending of the construction of the Panama Canal in 1914.

Child Month Workshop On Saturday

As Child Month 2014 continues under the theme Let???s Embrace and Appreciate our Children, members of the public are invited to participate in a free workshop this weekend.

The event, which will be hosted by the Parent Education for Development in Barbados (PAREDOS), will examine Developing Good Parent-Child Relationships through Discipline.

The workshop will be held this Saturday, May 17 at Lester Vaughn Secondary School, Cane Garden, St. Thomas,from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
