Farmers??? Meeting

Farmers, especially livestock farmers, who are desirous of participating in the annual Agrofest, are invited to attend a meeting on Saturday, November 16, at the Barbados Agricultural Society, (BAS), The Grotto, Beckles Road, St. Michael, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The meeting is being hosted by the BAS and the Agrofest Secretariat in preparation for the 10th annual festival.

Branford Taitt Polyclinic Men???s Health Meeting

The Branford Taitt Polyclinic???s Men???s Health Meeting will take place on Thursday, November 21, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the polyclinic???s Black Rock, St. Michael location.

Complementary Health will be the topic for discussion and Terry Roach, a Complementary Health Specialist from the Complementary Health and Detox Centre, will be the featured speaker. All are invited.

Barbados Drug Service Relocating

The Barbados Drug Service will be moving to a new home at the end of the month.

Currently located in the Alico Building at Cheapside, The City, the Service will be relocated to the 6th and 7th floors of Warrens Towers II, Warrens, St. Michael, during the week of November 25 – 29.

During this period, the office will be closed for business. However, emergency services may be obtained by calling 467-9510. The new telephone numbers will be operational from Monday, December 2, and are as follows: PBX – 622-1626; Director 622-1627; and the Drug Information Centre – 622-1628. The existing numbers will remain in effect for approximately two months.

Members of the public are asked to arrange their business accordingly.

Baxters Road Festival and Community Market Coming Soon

Preparations are under way for this year???s Baxters Road Festival and Community Market which is being hosted by the City of Bridgetown Constituency Council.

The Festival will begin with an opening ceremony on Friday, December 6, at 7:00 p.m. and will continue on Saturday, December 7, from 8:00 a.m. It is designed to promote small business development and to assist in the revitalisation of Baxters Road.

The Council is, therefore, inviting residents of that constituency to register and participate in the activity. Persons interested in selling food and drinks are asked to acquire the necessary health certificates and licences.
