Independence Booklet Available On MRD???S Website
The Media Resource Department (MRD) has advised that the Independence Activity Booklet 2014 titled: Celebrating 48 Years of Independence & 375 Years of Parliamentary Democracy: 1639-2014 is now available on its website at www.mrd.gov.bb
Media Resource Officer, Philip Hackett, commending the document said: ???The resource booklet can be used in Social Studies, History and a wide range of subjects throughout the curriculum.
In addition to highlighting information on Barbados and its Parliament, it contains activities that will be engaging to students at schools across the island.???
Inter-Parish Road Tennis Competition November 26
The preliminary games for the Inter-Parish Road Tennis Competition for the districts of St. James, St. Peter and St. Lucy will now be held on Wednesday, November 26, at 6:30 p.m. at Road View, St. Peter.
The games were originally scheduled for Friday, November 21, but were postponed due to the inclement weather.??Players from St. James, St. Peter and St. Lucy are asked to make a special effort to attend.
