Sunset Heritage Walk Postponed

The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation has advised that the Sunset Heritage Walk through Bridgetown planned for Sunday, October 11, as part of the activities to mark Education Month 2015, has been postponed until a later date.??The Ministry regrets any inconvenience caused to interested patrons.

Diabetes Association To Hold Market Days

The Diabetes Association of Barbados will host Market Days at its headquarters, Corner of Jessamine Ave, Beckles Road, St. Michael, next Thursday, October 15, and on Thursday, October 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on both days. There will be a variety of fruits, vegetables and plants on sale.

Beach Closure From Sandpiper To Settlers Estates

The National Conservation Commission has advised members of the public that the beachfront area of the Sandpiper and Settlers Estates (north of Discovery Bay and south of the Church Point walkway) is now closed, and will remain closed until Friday, October 30.??This is to facilitate additional improvement work in the area.??Any inconvenience caused is regretted.

Holetown Fluidizer Breeching

Members of the public are asked to note that the Holetown Fluidizer will be breeched on Tuesday, October 13, from 9:30 a.m.??This is to facilitate a demonstration and handover of the Fluidizer from Baird & Associates to members of the Drainage Division.

As a result, persons are likely to see some discolouration of the sea water. However, the National Conservation Commission advises that this is consistent with conditions experienced during natural breeching.??Any inconvenience caused is regretted.
