CXC Closed Tomorrow October 30

The offices of the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) at Prince Road, Pine Plantation Road, St. Michael, will be closed tomorrow, Friday, October 30.

CXC regrets any inconvenience which this early closure will cause, and has advised that regular business hours will resume on Monday, November 2, at 8:15 a.m.

St. Lucy DEO Community Outreach

The St. Lucy District Emergency Organisation will host the first of five spot meetings to be held throughout the parish on Sunday, November 1, as part of its community outreach programme.

The meeting will be held at Sutherland Road (at the top of Sutherland Hill) from 6:30 p.m., and the topic to be discussed will be: Earthquakes and Tsunamis. Members of the public are invited.

Postal Celebrations Conclude With Free Concert

The Barbados Postal Service will conclude its month of activities to mark World Post Day with a free variety concert and karaoke session on Saturday, October 31, in the Jackie Opel Amphitheatre, Cheapside, St. Michael, beginning at 7:00 p.m. All are invited to the concert, which will see postal staff showcasing their talents and special guest performances.

Vulnerability Assessments Go To St. John

The Department of Emergency Management, in collaboration with the District Emergency Organisations and the Barbados Red Cross, will conduct Vulnerability and Capacity Assessments in Martin???s Bay and Zoares, St. John, from Tuesday, November 3, to Monday, November 9.

These assessments will be conducted simultaneously in the above-mentioned districts between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Persons conducting the Vulnerability and Capacity Assessments will be wearing Barbados Red Cross vests. Residents are asked to participate fully in the assessments.
