English and Remedial Classes at Bonnett???s Resource Centre

The Community Development Department is inviting interested persons to register for its Remedial Beginners and Intermediate English classes.

The classes, which will be held at the Bonnett???s Resource Centre, Britton???s Hill, St. Michael, will begin on Monday, October 7, and run for 10 weeks.

To register, or to obtain further information, persons should visit the Centre on Saturday, September 28, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Domino and Road Tennis at Oistins Bay Gardens This Saturday

Play Yuh Hand, Mek Yuh Move is the name given to a domino and road tennis competition, which will be held this Saturday, September 28, at the Oistins Bay Gardens, Christ Church, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The activity is being organised by the Silver Sands HIV/AIDS Education Committee and the Community Development Department, under the theme Educate Me Today, Save My Life Tomorrow. It is open to residents of the St. Christopher, Silver Sands, Oistins, Wotton, Maxwell, Silver Hill, Gall Hill and surrounding communities.

Throughout the day a number of free health checks will be conducted and there will be HIV testing and counselling. Patrons are also asked to donate a non-perishable item to the HIV Food Bank.

Persons who are interested in selling health products or promoting their services, may register for a stall space by contacting the St. Christopher Resource Centre at 420-7771 or Jacqueline Pinder at 230-0450 / 310-1700.??
