BGIS To Host Workshop Geared Towards Men

The HIV Education Committee of the Barbados Government Information Service will host a workshop geared towards men.

It will take place on Saturday, October 4, at Sylvester???s, Pelican Village, Princess Alice Highway, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Men aged 18 and over are invited to come out and discuss topics such as HIV and various sexually transmitted infections, parenting, and anger management.

Interested persons may register by calling 426-2232 by Wednesday, October 1, as space is limited. Refreshments will be served.

Open Day At Geriatric Hospital Tomorrow

The Geriatric Hospital on Beckles Road, St. Michael, will open its doors to the public tomorrow, Wednesday, September 24, as part of the activities for Senior Citizens??? Month.

The Open Day will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and will have as its theme Safe Today, Healthy Tomorrow.

The hospital???s management has issued an invitation to relatives, friends and all other interested persons to join its staff in celebrating the lives and contributions of its elderly clients.

Express Mail Resumes To T&T

Members of the public have been advised that the Barbados Postal Service has resumed its Express Mail Service deliveries to Trinidad and Tobago with immediate effect.

Farmers??? Market In Six Roads

The Ministry of Agriculture???s Market Division has invited persons interested in selling fruit, vegetables, plants, wines, jewellery and other local products, to be a part of its monthly Farmers??? Market on Saturday, October 4.

It will take place at the Six Roads Public Market, Six Roads, St. Philip, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Interested vendors are asked to contact Oviston Willoughby or Medford Kirton at 423-6243, or Curtis Jordan at 245-3524, as soon as possible.

Patrons are also invited to come out and support the vendors at the market.
