CARIBBEAN WELLNESS DAY EVENT AT DOVER PLAYING FIELD

Members of the public are invited to the Caribbean Wellness Day fitness fair on Saturday, September 14, at the Dover Playing Field, Christ Church, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The theme for this year???s event is Love that Body, Move that Body, Safe Guarding the Health of Our Youth for the Future. It is being held by the Ministry of Health and the National Task Force on Physical Activity and Exercise.

The day???s activities will include the popular line dancing, Zumba, a Kids on the Move session and Soca Time with Ariel ???Tiger??? Johnson. Participants will get the opportunity to see contestants in the upcoming Mr. Caribbean Barbados Fitness Competition in the Man vs. Machine segment. There will also be a fun zone for children and fruits and natural juices will be on sale. Persons are asked to wear comfortable exercise shoes and walk with a water bottle.

FOGGING AT BDF HEADQUARTERS ON THURSDAY

The Environmental Health section of the Barbados Defence Force will be carrying out fogging operations at St. Ann???s Fort, The Garrison, St. Michael, on Thursday, September 5, from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m.

Persons with respiratory ailments are reminded that they should protect themselves from inhaling the fog, while children should desist from running behind the fogging vehicle.
