Registration of private candidates for the January 2014 Caribbean Examinations Council???s (CXC) exams has started.

Applicants may collect registration forms from the Examinations Section, Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, ???Elsie Payne Complex???, Constitution Road, St. Michael, between 8:30 a.m., and 3:30 p.m., from Monday to Friday. Forms may also be accessed online at

Forms should be completed using a blue or black ink pen and returned with the relevant fees, which must be paid in cash, to the Finance Section of the Ministry between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays. Applicants are also required to present a Barbados Identification card; a valid driver???s licence; a valid Passport; or a certified passport sized photograph as proof of identification.

Before registering, candidates should consult the timetables for the respective examinations on the CXC???s web page, to avoid clashes of subject papers.

Registration for these examinations will close on Friday, October 4.
