REMINDER FOR PROFESSIONALS TO SUBMIT RESEARCH PAPERS TO MINISTRY OF ECONOMIC AFFAIRS

Private and public sector professionals in Barbados are reminded that research papers are being accepted for the upcoming Seventh Economic and Social Lecture-Seminar series being hosted by the Research and Planning Unit of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs.

Papers pertinent to the theme of this year???s seminar, Private Sector Led Growth and Development in Barbados 2013-2020, research topics of a personal choice and those of a policy nature, where relevant, may be submitted to the Research and Planning Unit of the Economic Affairs Division, Warrens Office Complex, St. Michael, by Friday, September 20. This year???s seminar will be held on Monday, September 30, in the Lecture Theatre of the Warrens Office Complex.

VECTOR CONTROL UNIT TO CARRY OUT INSPECTIONS ON SATURDAY

Environmental Health Officers and Assistants from the Ministry of Health???s Vector Control Unit will be conducting house-to-house inspections and a survey on Mosquito Control and Dengue Fever on Saturday, September 7, from 8:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The inspections and survey will be conducted in the following St. Michael and Christ Church districts: St. Matthias Road, Balmoral Gap, Pleasant Hall, Marine Gardens, Dayrells Road, York Road, Medford Land, Kings Village, Lynch Gap, Brathwaite Gap, Paddock Road, Deighton Road, Bullen???s Avenue, Dalkeith, Rollins Road, Taitt Road, Gills Road, Isolation Road and the environs.

All officers will be wearing identification badges. Members of the public are urged to co-operate with the officers regarding this exercise, to ensure its success.
