Town Hall Meeting to Discuss Salt Pond
Residents and business owners of Speightstown are invited to attend a town hall meeting, next Friday, July 12, at the Speightstown Community Centre, St. Peter, at 4:30 p.m. to discuss the proposed work on Phase II of the Salt Pond.
The Barbados Tourism Investment Inc. is encouraging all residents and business owners to attend this important meeting.

Live Firing Exercises at Sea Next Week
The public is reminded that the Barbados Coast Guard will be conducting a live firing exercise at sea on Thursday, July 18, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
It will be carried out five to eight nautical miles west of the Arawak Cement Plant in St. Lucy and HMBS Leonard C. Banfield and HMBS Trident will participate in the exercise.
All firing will be at surface level and no rounds will be projected into the air. A radar watch of the area will be maintained to ensure no intrusion occurs.

Labour Employment Seminar Postponed
The Labour Employment Seminar, which was to be held on Wednesday, July 10 at Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St. Michael has been postponed. The public will be informed of the new date and any inconvenience caused is regretted.

Ministry of Education’s Annual Summer School Primary Postponed
The annual Summer School primary organized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation for primary schools, which was scheduled to begin tomorrow, Tuesday, July 9, at the George Lamming Primary School at 8:45 a.m. will now begin on Wednesday, July 10.
The postponement is due to the approach of Tropical Storm Chantal.

BCC Interviews for Nursing Postponed
The Barbados Community College???s (BCC) interviews slated for tomorrow, Tuesday, July 9, for prospective nursing students seeking to enter the Health Sciences Division have been postponed.
They will now take place on Thursday, July 11 at the previous stipulated times.
