The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) wishes to remind the public that the geophysical work being undertaken at Worthing Beach in Christ Church is still ongoing.
This work is being conducted to help determine the conditions for laying the permanent outfall.
The work platform and drilling rig currently on-site will be moved into the sea at Sandy Beach tomorrow, Wednesday, May 29, where drilling is expected to continue over the next two weeks, weather and sea conditions permitting.
The drilling may cause discolouration of the water near the rig. Therefore, the authority is advising divers and sea bathers to exercise caution, and to stay a safe distance away from the drilling site.
The Barbados Water Authority apologizes for any inconvenience which may be caused.
