In celebration of 125 years??of existence, the St. Michael Geriatric Hospital on Beckles Road has planned a series of activities that will run from June to September.
While the theme for the year is ???Embracing the Evolution of Quality Care through Centuries….and Beyond….1884-2009,??? there will be select themes for the four months.
Activities for the month of June will centre on the theme: ???Looking Back???. On Thursday, June 4, the??Geriatric Hospital will be the venue for Q in the Community with Larry Mayers of the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
The following day, Friday, June 5, will feature CBC???s ???Looking Back??? programme with Mark Williams, to be hosted at the hospital from 5:00 p.m.
The public is invited to come out and interact with their elderly relatives and friends while participating in these programmes.
