The Barbados Government Information Service (BGIS) continued its outreach programme, “Making a Difference Day-GIS Cares” recently with a presentation to the Children’s Development Centre (CDC).

The Centre was the beneficiary of storage containers, stationery and office equipment, as staff of the BGIS lent support to the organisation as part of activities for its (BGIS) 50th anniversary celebrations.

According to BGIS’ Marketing Officer and Coordinator of the event, Ronny Yearwood, “the BGIS is looking to give back to the community, and we believe this donation to the Centre is a worthwhile gesture.  It is our hope that we can continue the trend and encourage others to get on board”.

Supervisor of Day Care at the CDC, Wendy Wilkinson, thanked the BGIS for its generosity and stated that the equipment would assist greatly in accomplishing her department’s tasks.
