Some 40 seniors in the St. George catchment area will be hounoured by the management and staff of the Glebe Polyclinic, tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30, when that polyclinic holds an awards ceremony and luncheon to mark Seniors Month.

The event, will be held on the grounds of the St, George Church Rectory and starts at 11:00 a.m.

According to Community Health Nurse and member of the Planning Committee, Vicki Mondore, the aim is to recognise "the valiant contribution that the seniors have played in shaping Barbados into the model society it is today".

Among the highlights of the day will be performances and recitals from seniors in the St. George community and nurses and friends of the polyclinic.?? The seniors will be treated to a traditional Barbadian luncheon and the centenarians in the catchment area will be especially awarded for their contribution to the district.

"The celebrations are indeed significant to our national and personal heritage as we commemorate the contributions that seniors have made over the centuries," Ms. Mondore explained.
