This year’s Environment Month celebrations will feature two Green Readings which will be centred on the theme for the month: Living Sustainably: An Eco-Friendly Lifestyle for a Healthy Nation.

Members of the public are encouraged to come out and listen to the readings. The first session will come off on Saturday, June 1 at Queen’s Park, The City, while the second reading will be held at the Richard Haynes Boardwalk, Hastings, Christ Church, on Saturday, June 8. Both events will begin at 3:30 p.m.

Each year the Ministry of the Environment and Drainage teams up with local artistes to showcase their literature and to pay homage to the environment by highlighting topical issues and how they should be treated.

This year’s Green Readings are being hosted by the Ministry of the Environment and Drainage in association with Arts Etc. and are part of efforts to promote a Green Economy.
