“Providing Care for the Care-givers” will be the topic for discussion at the next meeting of the Barbados Mental Health Association and Support Network on Thursday, October 30.
The group will be led in discussion by Community Mental Health Nurse, Ossie Gill, and Senior Psychiatric Social Worker, Geoffrey Small, when the meeting comes off at the St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church on Jemmotts Lane, St. Michael, at 7:00 p.m.
Persons providing care for the mentally ill or others with debilitating diseases are especially invited to attend this lecture/discussion that aims to impart tools and techniques for taking care of themselves.
The Barbados Mental Health Association and Support Network was launched to meet the challenges experienced by persons suffering with mental illnesses and their care-givers, to identify their various needs and ensure a ready forum for meeting and discussing any related issue.
