Relations between Barbados and Guatemala will continue to grow.

This was underscored today when newly appointed Ambassador Guisela Godinez Sazo met with acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Steve Blackett, at the Ministry’s Culloden Road Headquarters.

During the talks, they both pledged that the existing bilateral ties between the two countries would continue and that collaboration in the areas of culture and export opportunities would be explored.

Ambassador Godinez Sazo, who is based in Trinidad and Tobago, noted that maintaining relations with Barbados was very important to her country.

Barbados and Guatemala established diplomatic ties on January 27, 1992.
