Five labour officers from Guyana will visit Barbados from October 5 to 9, as part of a training programme in occupational safety and health.

The visit, sponsored by the Organisation of American States (OAS), will involve a series of training sessions by the Labour Department, the Environmental Protection Department and the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health (NACOSH).

The officers will also visit two local workplaces to observe safety and health practices in Barbados.
