The Environmental Health Department of the Ministry of Health will be hosting a series of health education seminars focusing on food safety for vendors and food handlers who will be operating at this year’s Crop Over events.

The sessions will run from July 18 to 21 and will take place at the Branford Taitt Polyclinic, Black Rock Main Road, St. Michael from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day.

There are two seminars for established vendors. The first is on the opening day, Monday, July 18 and the second on Thursday, July 21. All new vendors must attend the seminar on Tuesday, July 19.

The seminar planned for Wednesday, July 20 is targeted at vendors who operate along Black Rock Main Road, Eagle Hall and Bank Hall Cross Road during Crop Over events.

Operators of food stalls who will be attending the seminars are reminded to bring with them all food handlers who will be working at these events.
