The Community Development Department’s efforts at HIV/AIDS education and sensitisation in the various communities across the island continue next month with a health fair in St. Thomas.

The event, organised in conjunction with the St. Thomas HIV/AIDS Community Education Committee, will take place on Saturday, April 4, at the Content Pavilion and Playing Field, St. Thomas at 10:00 a.m.

Several activities are planned for the day, including lectures and discussions on HIV/AIDS and other health related issues, HIV counselling and testing as well as blood sugar and blood pressure testing.

Community groups and interested persons are encouraged to participate in the fair by purchasing a stall space and offering their products for sale.

The health fair is free and interested persons are invited to come and enjoy the day with family and friends.

Further information may be obtained by contacting the Community Development Department at 310-1700.
