Public health nurses from the eight polyclinics across the island will join forces this weekend and host a children’s health fair.
The event, one of two in celebration of Child Month, will be held this Saturday, May 21, in the BTI car park, Speighstown, St. Peter.
The fair gets under way at 10:00 a.m. and will run until 3:00 p.m. Nurses will make checks of children’s green cards and/or booklets used for immunisation, and there will be health and nutrition information provided to parents as well as backyard gardening tips.
There will also be dental checks and health checks, including blood sugar and blood pressure testing, for members of the public.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, May 28, the health nurses will also host a health outreach activity for children in the Oistins car park, Christ Church.
Members of the public are invited to attend both events. (JG/BGIS)
