The Ministry of Health and Wellness continues to appeal to members of the public to get tested for the COVID-19 virus whether they believe that they are symptomatic or not.

Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kenneth George, has reminded persons that COVID-19 can present with any variety of flu-like symptoms and some infected persons may be asymptomatic.

“There is a concern that although the number of cases has been dropping, an added strategy of widespread testing must be used for the control of the disease. The Ministry is trying to make sure that cases of COVID-19 are not missed in an effort to obtain a true appreciation of the level of the disease in the country,” Dr. George stated.

Persons are also reminded that the primary testing sites include: Branford Taitt Polyclinic, Eunice Gibson Polyclinic, Winston Scott Polyclinic and the Wildey Gymnasium.
