Members of the public are invited to get free blood pressure checks at a health screening session being hosted by the Randal Phillips Polyclinic’s Men’s Health Group at the polyclinic, Oistins, Christ Church, on Tuesday, July 3.  It begins at 7:00 p.m.

Nurses will be on hand to facilitate blood pressure measurements and to provide counselling.  Nurse Fallon Burrowes will lead a discussion on Living with Hypertension.

Meanwhile, the Men’s Health Group is also inviting the public to join its annual Historic Bus Tour on Emancipation Day, Wednesday, August 1.  Buses will leave the polyclinic at 9:00 a.m., and proceed to Welchman Hall Gully for a guided tour, followed by a picnic stop at Bath Beach, St. John.

Author and member of the National Task Force on Reparations, Reverend Buddy Larrier, will make presentations on slavery and its impact on Barbados.
