Those charged with the responsibility of looking after the country’s elderly will now be able to do so more effectively.
This will come in the form a Ministry of Health workshop to be held on Monday, March 12, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m., in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s Auditorium, Martindales Road, St. Michael.
It will target managers, operators and owners of nursing homes, senior citizen homes and participants in the Alternative Care of the Elderly programme. The objectives of the meeting are: to ensure that regulations, standards and procedures set out by the Ministry of Health are adhered to; to ascertain any concerns or issues relating to owners and operators of homes; and to heighten awareness of the role of the Environmental Health Inspectorate, their duties and responsibilities.
