Persons desirous of improving their well-being and lifestyles are being reminded that the Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Organic Growers and Consumer Association, will host the second in a series of seminars on Sustainable Living – Organic Farming, Food & Lifestyles, tomorrow, Tuesday, March 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Aimed at persons battling non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and cancer, the workshop will focus primarily on promoting healthy living, increasing organic food production, and demonstrating how individuals could produce and prepare healthy food.

Among the topics to be discussed are: organic food crop production; certification and marketing; effects of organic foods on health (with regards to diabetes and high blood pressure, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, ‘, NULL, NULL, 0); food preparation; the organic lifestyle and agro-tourism linkages with organic agriculture.

Facilitators for the sessions are Iridologist and Natural Healer, Chantel Selman, and Agronomist of the Food Crop Research Department, David Bynoe.??It will take place in the Ministry of Agriculture’s conference room, Graeme Hall, Christ Church.
