Fogging will continue next week with heavy emphasis on areas in St. Michael.

The team from the Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health will, however, start in St. George on Monday, March 9, fogging districts at Drax Hall Tenantry, Drax Hall Jump, Melverton, Bydes Mill, Mount Tenantry, Frenches, St. Lukes and their environs.

On Tuesday, March 10, a journey to Christ Church will see Ealing Grove, Enterprise Road, Wilcox Hill, Chancery Lane North, Chancery Lane Park and surroundings being sprayed.

The first fogging in St. Michael begins on Wednesday, March 11. The areas to be visited are: Bank Hall Main Road, Bank Hall Cross Road, Waterford Landing Scheme, Station Hill with Avenues, Snaggs Land, Stuart Land, Clement Land, Maynard Land, Walcott Road, Clarke Road, Mansion Road, Windsor Road, Barracks Road, Sealy Land, Nurse Land, Happy Cot, Gilkes Road, Powder Road, Buckingham Road, King Edward Road, Queen Mary Road, King George Road, Queen Victoria Road and environs.

A return to St. Michael on Thursday, March 12, will see the team fogging Waterford, Belleview Gap, Station Hill, Gooding Road with Avenues, Deans Village, Glendairy Road, Bridge Road, Baycroft Road, School Road, Springer Road, Flint Hall, Kingston Terrace, My Lord’s Hill, Licorish Village, Jones Road, Blackman Road, Odessa McClean Avenue, Belle Tenantry and surroundings.

Fogging culminates on Friday, March 13, in St. Michael, starting at the Psychiatric Hospital. The team will then move to Ashdeane Village, Brighton Road, Farm Housing Area, Rosemont, Deacons Road, Knights Land, Goodland Road, 1st and 2nd Avenue Birds’ River Gap, Corner Westbury Road, Marine Square, 1st and 2nd Avenue Goodland, Brandon and their environs.

All fogging runs from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and householders are asked to assist by opening windows and doors to allow the fog to penetrate.

Persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the fog, while pedestrians and motorists must proceed with caution when encountering fogging operations on the street.

Parents are instructed to prohibit children from playing in the fog or running behind the fogging machine.
