The monthly Hike for Wellness, hosted by the Ministry of Health and the National Task Force on Wellness, takes place on Sunday, September 20, starting from the Old St. Thomas Post Office, St. Thomas, at 3:00 p.m.

The hike, which is just over six miles, is expected to last three hours.  It moves off from the post office in the direction of Blunts and Highclere.  Hikers will then ascend Mount Hillaby via bushy trails and then descend Mount Hillaby through the housing area.  They will return to the post office via Farmers and Mount Misery.

This hike involves uphill climbing.  First time hikers have the option of taking a shorter four-mile route, and guidance will be available.

Participants are advised to bring drinking water and a snack.  They should wear suitable clothing to avoid scratches, and appropriate shoes.  Sun screen and a hat are also recommended.

Interested persons are asked to arrive early to register for the free event. COVID-19 protocols will be observed.
