One local community group will soon be taking its HIV/AIDS awareness message "to the streets".
On Saturday, October 10, the Black Rock/Deacons HIV/AIDS Education Committee, in collaboration with the Community Development Department, will host a sensitisation drive for residents in the communities of Lower Deacons Road, Birds River and Brandons.
The event, which gets under way at 4:00 p.m., is an opportunity for the committee to dialogue with residents to find out how much they know about the disease.
Residents in these areas are invited to come out and learn more about the prevention of HIV/AIDS.
