Practising good hygiene is one of the hallmarks of residents of the Clyde Gollop Centre for Homeless Men.

This was emphasised by Senior Welfare Officer at the National Assistance Board Andrew Browne, during a presentation by the Alexandra School’s Boys’ Club, at the Hindsbury Road institution, yesterday.

Students Daniel Carter, Kyle Burrowes, and Stefan Bowen, and Head of Technical and Vocational Studies at the Alexandra School, McDonald Marshall, presented staff of the Centre with a number of toiletries and personal hygiene items which will be used by its patrons.

Mr. Browne thanked the Club for the items and assured members that they would be fully utilised by residents of the shelter.

The Clyde Gollop Centre was opened in April 1994, and currently houses 34 men.
