For the first time, Barbados has appointed an Honorary Consul in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

He is Dental Surgeon, Dr. Roosevelt Rock, a Barbadian living and practising dentistry in Trinidad for almost two decades.

Dr. Rock is currently in Barbados and recently paid a courtesy call on Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Cecile Humphrey.

He told Mrs. Humphrey that while he has been “unofficially” defending the interests of Barbadians in the twin island republic for several years, he was happy to have been officially appointed to the post.

He also assured the Permanent Secretary that he was looking forward to continuing “the good bilateral relations” between the countries and working with the Ministry.
