Sweden’s new Honorary Consul in Barbados is Managing Director of West Indian International Tours, Barbados, Ms. Titti Kerr.
Chief of Protocol, Hughland Allman, presented Ms. Kerr with her Exequatur, last Friday, which authorises her to exercise appropriate powers on behalf of the Government of Sweden. ??
Ms. Kerr said she was "eager to commence her responsibilities" as a non-diplomatic representative of Sweden in Barbados, particularly in the area of tourism, which is her forte.
"I hope to reinvigorate interest throughout Sweden and Scandinavia in Barbados as a primary tourism destination," the Honorary Consul said.
Ms. Kerr noted that in the 1980s there were a number of flights originating in Sweden which provided airlift to Barbados and stated it was her wish to see tourism arrivals out of that country reach similar or better levels in the future.
The former Honorary Consul of Sweden was Rawle Brancker.
