An urgent call is being made by the Barbados Employment and Career Counselling Service (BECCS) for résumés from persons interested in trainee and internship opportunities in the United States of America (USA) Hospitality Sector.

Applicants to this J1 Visa programme are required to be recent graduates from hospitality training programmes, or persons with at least five years’ experience in the hospitality sector.   

Persons must be 18 years or older, have a valid Barbados passport and a clean Police Certificate of Character. They must also be free of any infractions outside the jurisdiction of Barbados.

Résumés should be sent to pfarnum@labour.gov.bb before Wednesday, May 5.

Successful applicants will be afforded the opportunity to build their proficiency in the sector by working in a structured work-based internship programme for one year in the USA.

Successful applicants will also be required to cover costs of approximately US$4000 to facilitate insurance, visa application, airfare and processing fees.
