A call is being made by the Barbados Employment and Career Counselling Service (BECCS) for résumés from persons interested in trainee and internship opportunities in the culinary area, in the United States of America (USA) Hospitality Sector.

Applicants to this J1 Visa Programme must be between 18 and 35 years, and are required to be recent graduates from hospitality training programmes in culinary, or must have at least five years’ experience in the area.   

Résumés should be sent to beccsjobs@labour.gov.bb, by Wednesday, November 10, 2021. The job title J1 Culinary must be placed in the subject area of the email.

Persons must have a valid Barbados passport, and be able to obtain a clean Police Certificate of Character. They must also be free of any infractions outside the jurisdiction of Barbados.

Additionally, applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to enter the USA.

Successful candidates will be afforded the opportunity to build their proficiency in the sector by working in a structured work-based internship programme for one year in the USA.
