Members of Parliament are expected to resume debate in the House of Assembly tomorrow, Tuesday, October 19, following the summer recess.

Attorney General Freundel Stuart, will move the First Readings of four pieces of legislation. They are the Prevention of Corruption Bill, 2010, the Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2010, the Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (Prevention and Control) Bill, 2010 and the International Corporate and Trust Service Providers Bill, 2010.

In addition, Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, Chris Sinckler, will pilot the First Readings of two measures; the Financial Administration (Public Enterprise Investment Fund) (Repeal) Bill, 2010 and the Financial Services Commission Bill, 2010.

Minister of Housing, Lands, Urban and Rural Development, Michael Lashley, will move a Resolution to approve the compulsory acquisition by Government of land at Vauxhall, Christ Church for public housing development. This is in accordance with Section Five of the Land Acquisition Act, Cap 228. clashley@barbados.gov.bb
