As part of the activities to mark Hurricane Preparedness Month in June, the Department of Emergency Management is currently hosting a series of library displays to further sensitise the public about hurricanes and their associated hazards.

The displays will be mounted until Tuesday, June 30, at the public libraries in Holetown, St. James; the Valley Resource Centre, Glebe, St. George; Tamarind Hall, Horse Hill, St. Joseph; and Speightown, St. Peter, during regular opening hours.

The Atlantic Hurricane Season began on Monday, June 1, and Barbados will highlight the hazard through a month of activities under the theme: Keeping in touch with our communities.
