West Terrace Primary School in St. James is high on the list of projects which Executive Directors of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will visit this week following their attendance at FOROMIC 2012, the three-day Inter-American Forum on Micro Enterprises.

The IDB officials, along with representatives from the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, will undertake the tour this Thursday, October 4, the day after the close of FOROMIC 2012. The visit will take place from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

The school was the recipient of IDB funding which allowed for technical assistance, teacher training for the delivery of information communication technology and civil works under the Education Sector Enhancement Programme during the period 1998 to 2009.

Deputy Chief Education Officer (Schools), Karen Best, will lead an educational party comprising Programme Director of the Programme Coordination Unit, Paul Murphy and School Liaison Officer, Junior Burgess.??

IDB officials will then travel to Bowmanston, St. John, where they will tour the site of the Water and Sanitation Systems Upgrade Project (2010-2016) from 11:15 a.m. to noon.

From 2:10 to 2:45 p.m. the team will meet with officials of the Coastal Risk Assessment and Management Programme (2010-2016) at Holetown, St. James.

The tour of projects, undertaken with the assistance of the IDB, will end with a trip to the South Coast Boardwalk (Coastal Infrastructure programme, 2001-2009).
