The 2010 to 2011 school year has got off to an incident free start.

This is the view from Minister of Education and Human Resource Development, Ronald Jones, who added that he would like this trend to continue throughout the Michaelmas term and beyond.

"I would want to see all students continue to observe the rules of the schools and of the Ministry of Education, in general: I also look forward to greater learning this term for students," he stated.

Mr. Jones expressed the hope that the negative social behaviour exhibited by some students during the past year, including gambling and joyriding on buses, would not reoccur this year.

The Minister also offered congratulations to teachers, administrative and support staff, and all other stakeholders who would have contributed to the smooth start of the school year.??kmoore@barbados.gov.bb
