Taxpayers are reminded that the filing season for the 2019 tax year is under way.

The Barbados Revenue Authority advises that income tax returns should be filed online at https://tamis.bra.gov.bb.

Employees who earned over $25,000, as well as pensioners who received income over $40,000 last year and all self-employed persons, are required to file a 2019 Personal Income Tax (PIT) return in TAMIS.

If taxpayers have tax due to the Authority, there are two options available for making payments during the curfew period.

First, payments may be made by cheque, accompanied by the electronic payment advice (EPA), and submitted in a sealed envelope using the drop box available at the Weymouth Corporate Centre.

Alternately, payments may be made through online banking platforms by adding the Barbados Revenue Authority as a payee for transferring funds.

Further payment details for bank transfers may be found on the Authority’s website at www.bra.gov.bb/pay under Bank/Wire Transfers.
