Government’s Community Development Department has planned a series of workshops in preparation for this year’s Community Indepen-DANCE Festival.

The first will be held this Saturday, September 13, and will be geared towards the festival participants while on the following day, September 14, a workshop will be held for the judges.

Another workshop will be held this time for participants on Saturday, November 15, following the zone finals. All workshops will take place at The St. Michael’s School at 10:00 a.m.

The Indepen-DANCE Festival, which is in its third year, is coordinated by the Community Development Department in collaboration with the Community Independence Celebrations Secretariat, the National Cultural Foundation and the Commission for Pan-African Affairs.

The preliminaries come off on Friday, September 26; Saturday, September 27; Sunday, September 28; Friday, October 3; Saturday, October 4; and Sunday, October 5.

The semi-finals will be held on November 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, while the finals are scheduled for December 6.
