The Community Development Department will host a Community and Independence Celebration at the Friendship Playing Field, Hothersal Turning, St. Michael, on Saturday, November 28, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
From 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., there will be an open market day, with vendors offering several items for sale.
During this time, there will also be manicures and pedicures; free HIV Testing and other health checks; and a children???s corner with jumping tents and indigenous Barbadian games.
T20 cricket and football matches, along with other sporting activities, will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. as well as a free talent show, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Further information may be obtained by calling Susanne Byer at 834-2949, or Sophia Parris at 230-0496.
