This year’s Independence Day Ceremonial Parade will now be held at the Bridgetown Port and not the Garrison Savannah.

It will begin as scheduled at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30.

The move to the Port Authority is as a result of the persistent showers which have made the Garrison Savannah water logged.

Organisations on parade will include detachments of the Barbados Defence Force, the Royal Barbados Police Force, the Barbados Cadet Corps, the Barbados Prison Service and, the Barbados Fire Service.

Units from the Government Security Guards, the Barbados Youth Service, the Barbados Legion, the Girl Guides Association, the Barbados Red Cross Society and the Barbados Boys’ Scouts Association will also be represented.

The St. John’s Ambulance Brigade, the Barbados Landship, the National Conservation Commission, the Pentecostal Crusaders, the Seventh Day Adventist Pathfinders and a detachment from the British Royal Fleet Auxiliary’s Wave Ruler will be on parade.
