The Index of Retail Prices for November 2013 stood at 168.4 points, representing an increase of 0.2 per cent when compared with the 168.0 points recorded the previous month.

Increases of 1.5 per cent were recorded for Fuel and Light; 0.5 per cent for Food; 0.2 per cent for Household Operations and Supplies, as well as Education, Recreation and Miscellaneous; and 0.1 per cent for Housing.

Decreases of 0.8 per cent were recorded for Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco; 0.3 per cent for Clothing and Footwear; and 0.1 per cent for Medical and Personal Care.

Transportation remained constant over the period.??Between November 2012 and November 2013, the Index of Retail Prices increased by 1.8 per cent, from 165.5 points to 168.4 points.

The average inflation rate for the 12-month period was 1.9 per cent.
