The Student Support Services Department of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, in conjunction with Sagicor Life Inc., will be hosting an Indomitable Spirit Award for special needs students.

This award will be given to 22 students across the public school system who have shown remarkable resilience in the face of personal challenges, in the form of medical, physical or academic setbacks, or family crises.

The inaugural ceremony will be held tomorrow, Saturday, July 4, at the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC) Building #2 (next to Oran Ltd.), beginning at 5:00 p.m.

The patron of the ceremony is President of the Senate, Senator Kerry-Ann Ifill, who will also present the overall prizes to the male and female student who show the greatest Indomitable Spirit.??This event will be held every five years.??The Awards are fully sponsored by Sagicor Life Inc.
